As a social media copy editor at the Daily Emerald, I play a key role in delivering accurate, engaging content to our audience. I manage the newspaper’s Facebook presence. I write and refine posts to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the paper’s voice. In fast-paced moments, I cover breaking news on Instagram, sharing real-time updates through visuals, captions, and stories to keep our readers informed. This role sharpened my ability to write concise yet impactful copy, tailor content for different platforms, and engage with audiences in meaningful ways.
