J352: Digital Media Kit

Last spring, I took J352: Strategic Writing & Media Relations at the University of Oregon. The final for this class was to create a digital media kit for a local event in the Eugene area. I covered the spring Girls on the Run 5k. Girls on the Run is a national non-profit organization that designs programming to strengthen third- to eighth-grade girls’ social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills to successfully navigate life experiences. This project was theoretical, but I had so much fun attending the 5k, taking b-roll, and interviewing some of the girls that ran. The digital media kit includes a media list, a pitch email, a press release, two interviews, b-roll, and photos, all ready to be covered by news organizations.
